Queensbury School results improve again!
Yet again results at Queensbury School have significantly improved this year. At Key stage 3 there were record breaking results for English, Maths and Science with 80% of students gaining level 5 or better in each subject. In ICT over 90% of year 9 students gained a level 5 or better and over 70% gained a level 6. Over 80% also gained the equivalent of a GCSE in ICT 2 years early
The upward surge continued for year 11 students who improved on the record set last year with over 65% of students gaining the 5A*-C benchmark, an improvement of nearly 6% on the 2008 figure. The figure for 5A*-C including English and Maths also took a substantial upward leap of 5% to nearly 40% surpassing the governments threshold by 10%.
There were many happy faces when year 13 collected their A level grades with a pass rate of 98% yet another improvement on the year before. Over 75% of students will be heading for University in September and all students gained the qualifications they needed to progress onto the next stage of their careers.
